ive never met a cool cop, they are all pretty bad around here. Im guessing because its texas  i do know they are out there though, just a small percentage.

YES! He is not only allowed, but encouraged to do anything possible to get you to admit to a crime, or accidentally implicate yourself. "Anything you say can and will be used against you," they say it themselves. The 5th Amendment says you don't have to talk to anyone, including a cop, judge, president, whatever. You are legally allowed to sit there in silence and stare, no matter what the cop says you must do. If you're unsure of a question, don't answer it. However, you don't need to be a dick and piss him off, or he'll do what's in his power to hand you your ass. Be polite, like "I'm sorry, officer, but I've received legal counsel to say absolutely nothing without a lawyer present."
