hell yeah. shit, here in san antonio we have some of the best mexican and tex mex.
true story.
when i lived in washington state there was a mexican restaurant that said on its sign,
"Best Mexican Food In America!"
i said fuck it and tried it out. food reminded me of a one step up from taco bell kinda thing. on top of that, all the cooks were white...
they prob got all their recipes from google...

in no way shape or form am i a... gringo.
both my chicks parents are from mexico. meaning they were born there and migrated here. her mom is an amazing cook. some of the best mexican ive tasted, home cooked and from a restaurant.
my grandpa was born in puerto rico and came here when my dads mom was preggo. my grandpa was a professional chef and so is my uncle now. my dad had only ever been a cook, but he learned a lot from both his dad and his brother.
my moms parents migrated here from ireland and had only been here for a little less than a year when they had her. the cooking is a bit different and from the poor side, but still damn good.
when you mix pierto rican cooking with the touches of pro chefs and cooks and irish food. boy let me tell you.
