WTF is up with the wheather, I live in the midwest, its 9 in the morning, and its fucking 50 degrees outside...?!? We even had a thunder and lightning storm last night. This is the first time I've seen this happen. Any one else getting strange wheather?

 That was the only thing I could think about there too, Furrowed.
And Tiggy, It's a La Nina year which means uncharacteristically warm yet wet winters for most of North America. It's been happening all year.

Yep. I'm in Colorado and my town literally just got it's first real snowstorm of the year last night. In my life I don't honestly think I've seen it make it past christmas without snow before. The high country here (11k feet+) has been getting absolutely hammered with snow because the temps up there are actually cold enough but all the lower elevations are dry as a bone. I was skiing on the 23rd in steamboat springs (which is low elevation ski resort for around here, about 6,500 feet - 10,700 feet) and it was raining! I was pretty pissed to be skiing in the rain in Late December.
Oh well, we got 10" last night, so hopefully winter is finally here. Supposed to be about 10 below zero tonight with even more snow on the way.

52 in northern NC and going to be 61 new year's day. There is still plenty of melting snow on the ground from the second decent snow of the year already. All of that is strange for here. Curious as to what's in store for the rest of the season.

Oh wow. I saw this thread a few times this morning and just kinda blew past it. I just went out to help my buddy carry in the groceries he bought, and its almost 50 degrees in the upper east coast

Yea Australia is/was going through this massive drought so don't really get rain in the summer time down south. But now its raining like crazy and everything's flooding, my house was built on clay, and it was dry a few weeks ago, now its getting wet and the foundations are shifting
