yes, preflowers in veg is possible. They normally show around the 4-6th week.

16 weeks? wow...i do have a question though...for anyone reading this...does it mean you will have more yield when you veg longer just because the plant is bigger...ive heard people say both so i wanted to ask on the site

I think it really depends on the strain. I can't recall where I was reading about this, but it was to the effect that there is a point where THC production maxes out, and sometimes this ideal is never reached when grown for a normal amount of veg time and sometimes it is. You could very well end up with a lot of schwag.

I remember when a friend grew outdoors once, he had a few plants and they grew huge with a lot of branches. His dad would go out to the spot as well and he pruned up one of the plants so that it only had a few branches, whereas the others had millions. To make this short, the pruned plant had some really good buds full of THC, whereas the huge ones were no better than ditchweed, because THC production was pretty evenly distributed amongst all of the buds.

Not true, the longer you veg the bigger your plants are.  Plant size has no effect on potency.

farbyonddrvn- theoretically the longer you veg the more you can yield.  You're allowing the plant to produce more growing tips which can then be trained to receive as much light as possible.  The more growing tips you have in an even canopy under your light the bigger potential you'll have for a nice yield with a small amount of plants.

You're right. What I was reading was wrong but I had assumed it must have been right due to my experience outdoors. Its possible that the plants were of a different phenotype or simply that the bigger plants needed more time to finish flowering.

i was just gunna say that, if he grew from seed, he probably got a bunch of varied phenos, and if he grew out some f2s (bagseeds, seeds bought from nrivanna SC, etc) then the variation is potentially huge.

Indoors on the other hand, the smaller plant will tend to be more potent because of the increase in light intensity to the average bud site.

Thats why, sea of green nugs are tighter.
tighter the nug, better the buzz.
