The intake is a simple hole in the box and the outtake is where the fan blows the hot, carbon filter treated air, out of the box.

So are you just doing 1 or 2 plants then? Also, what kind of light are you using and how many watts? What are the dimensions of this box?
What you have described sounds fine the only thing I would worry about would be heat inside the box, you will probably need to put an AC near the intake hole especially in the summer.
