I find it hard to believe that someone can blow up their kitchen from making hashish.  I don't know everything about hashish but I do know there are some fairly simple methods to make it.  How does one create an explosion making hash??

explosion as in spontanous combustion of fuel or explosion as in your house being demolished? A small explosion in your kitchen could be caused by a single can of butane I'm sure which could lead to your house burning down or your demise.

We could use another method of natural selection.  I say let those of us who cannot use enough common sense to keep explosive chemicals out of unventilated areas stop pissing in our gene pool. 

I did, however, once use alcohol to sterilize all of the surfaces in a glove box, then attempted to flame sterilize a scalpel in the same glove box.  So, maybe I should not say things like that.  Anyway, maybe we should all remind ourselves of proper safety procedures and personal protective equipment before we embark on our next experiment or synthesis.

Just one.  Butane is extremely flammable, the vapors it puts off could theoretically ignite from a static electricity spark.

Hexane/acetone ftw!
