There is a show called Narcos on Netflix about the rise of Pablo Escobar. There is a movie about Whitey Bulger out now but compared to Pablo he was more of a preschooler. The show is worth a checkout.

Learning to love life by living through loss and mistakes Lessons learned then gradually surfacing, Letting go, stripping naked to scream I am not perfect nor do I strive to be, I am alive in this world of face first falls and public breakdowns I'm a retarded, disfigured clown Dying to be heard through the simple art of letting this heavy wall finally fall I'm an equal being of no race, or color, a hallucination if you will Sneaking into the lives of strangers, and letting them fall apart to a new rhythm just to feel better
It's alright. It's a picture of Escobar's tales versus a truth of the medillin cartel. It counts Pablo as the king, when apparently the Ochoa bros were importing more coke than Escobar, yet he is known to be the smart one I reckon, hence the hype. Cool show though.
Amazing show, I'm glad they didnt make the actors speak only in english, adds a lot of "realism" to the show, its very well written and the actors are great!

Cheers
According to a interview with Jorge Ochoa they were bringing in about as much as Pablo. According to him the biggest importer was Rodriguez Gacha. The thing was that they were getting their coke from Gacha's lab called Tranquilandia http://knowledgenuts.com/2013/12/04/the-disneyland-of-cocaine-production/
I can remember when this shit was in the news all the time but it was more Miami and everybody getting killed there then the shit on Pablos war with the Colombian government would come on.
The cops could never stop this lady but then she fucked over the Ochoa Brothers and they put a stop to her when she was deported back to Columbia.
Check out the movie Cocaine Cowboys. Documentary about the coke scene of the 80's. Miami at that time was kind of like Mexico is now. They had a freezer truck that would drive around the city every day and pick up bodies.
