Satire is a little different.
Satire is all about exposing a problem or hypocrisy or maybe even something most of us don't notice in a comedic way. But I guess it doesn't always have to be funny so long as it makes you think. Satire is a tricky thing, some do it well others should just quit while they're ahead.
In a related note Kurt Vonnegut's Satire was not funny and did not expose anything.

I'm not always so well versed on the news plus you can't always believe what you hear no matter if its on fox news, cnn, or msnbc.
I did hear they were thinking about putting a mosque near ground zero. Whether a mosque or a chinese deli I couldn't give a shit less. This is america if you have the funds you have the right to build anything anywhere so long as its not on government owned land or a reservation.

Those have got to be the most Un-American buildings I have ever seen, I do think they look cool... But I think putting one there is kind of mocking the victims.
