Don't think it'll happen, especially here in Oregon.  The voters here didn't even approve dispensaries.  I voted no on it.  That shit would ruin my profits :megacrankey:  Prices are too low as it is in these parts.

It might, they got a pretty large red portion to the state like us.  They're definitely more likely than Oregon.  I'm scared to see what the feds do if it does get passed, likely to be a shiticaine if ya ask me.

If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

I will personally vote no on amendment 64.
I am very torn on the subject but ultimately it's a badly worded amendment that has no place in a state constitution. The fact that they've included all of the stipulations inside of an untouchable amendment to the state constitution is ridiculous.
I would love to see it legal but this isn't any of that.
Currently in Colorado, 2 oz or less is a $100 citation (no offense for MMJ)
Amendment 64 would make possession of anything more than 1 oz a felony (except for MMJ)
It would seal this and small plant counts into the constitution.
LEO is all for it too, I doubt they're on my side.

No, not all laws are.  That's the worst argument for it I've ever heard.

Until the Feds change their attitude towards Medical, and we have well over half the states with Medical.  THEN lets start tackling the issue of legalization.

It's my understanding that 2/3 of the states can vote to ratify the constitution. I've always figured the only way we can change the federal law is to ratify the constitution with a 2/3 vote.
It's a convenient dream.

Um....apparently you haven't read much of history.  And really don't know the more baser human instincts.

Sure in a village no "laws" thing would work.  But not in major metropolitan areas.  It. Just. Doesn't. Work.

And even in the villages there are rules/laws.  Human civilization does not exist without it.

And of course that's a common argument.  Because it's the most fucking obvious thing that would happen.

Well as you said Hawk, big societies can't really exist without laws, but of course, that doesn't mean all laws are necessary. You can look at drug prohibition, you have a fine example. In some small villages, laws will be more likely based on everybody's judgment, reputation is quite important, as well as respect. If you live in a hunter/fisher society, you need help from other people, if the people in your village don't like the way you act, they'll stop helping you, it is quite similar to laws in a way, there are negative impacts for those who attempt to act differently. Just for example, in Polynesia, materialism is horrible, it isn't even human, as for them, a human being is a human who share with the community, share everything, nothing can be kept for yourself.

While you're stating that laws gives us freedoms and can also take away certain freedoms, Dank is arguing that laws are dead until we as people live by them or certain institutions enforce or use propaganda in order to manipulate how people act and then behave. I'm in with what dank.

Here Dank is speaking about your "sacred constructs", but I think a clearer way to say it is you are deeply conditioned by our western culture by trying to argue that laws themselves have power over human choices and that without those laws, humans are reduced to savages by way of anarchy. It's proven by you saying "look at history"!

But what I say IS the truth of it.  Of course there are laws that are taking away our freedom, and as a society we must come together and make decisions as to whether or not the end justify the means on said laws.

I disagree with a number of of laws and find them unjust, so I take a stance and rally against those specific laws that I feel do harm.  Instead of just saying fuck all laws.

I think what I was railing against what he said, is because it came off as we should just abolish all laws.  In which yes, a good portion of the population would take advantage of such a circumstance.  And another portion wouldn't.  But it would naturally revert back to a society based on communities, which come together to form some sort of government, and in turn laws.

You totally missed the point of what I was saying. Maybe I suck at explaining so I'll just ask a question: How do marijuana laws take away your freedoms of buying, using, selling without considering the consequences of getting caught?  Aren't you free to do those things, or do you submit to such laws?

I just think weed should be 100% as legal as tobacco.

And Hawk, I think you voting no on a bill because it would hurt your profits is as bad as millionaires voting for rebublicunts to get tax breaks.

But I'll hold my rage back because I'm civil and stuff.

Regardless I'm blazing up and hoping it does go through just to make it get looked at more seriously.

If you would have read the entire thread that wasn't the only reason I voted no on it.

I also think that if it was passed it would bring a shitstorm of feds down on the already fatigued medical community around here.  They are busting people left and right in my state, we don't need to give them even more of a reason.  So hold your judgement yo.

True, but it was the first reason you gave which shoes your priorities man.

That's the thing though, if the feds busted people after that happened it would do nothing but help out cause. More people hate how little rights states have already, would just help be a catalyst to even further reform.

Right now.

And like I said, should have read the thread.  I also stated that I would support it once we have over half of the states endorsing medical marijuana. That way we have a much large foundation on which to stand.  Obviously in these few select states there is a large enough population which stands behind medical, and will be able to get enough signatures to get items on the ballot.  I just don't feel that were their yet.

But yes, I sell weed.  If it dropped any lower than it already is, that would make it very difficult to grow indoors.  And indoor bud is far superior to outdoor IMO.  I don't want it to be cost prohibitive.  I've never been greedy with it.  I've always sold below market price.  Now market price has caught up to where I was selling it at.  I don't want it drivin down anymore.  Be angry.  That's fine.

Brewers sell beer to make money and because they enjoy brewing.  Well I do both, I grow weed because I enjoy it, and to make money.  Call me crazy, but I like to live well.

Don't really care if ya disapprove.  Mans gotta make a living.  I've always sold at below market, and give friends free shit all the time.  I don't really care what y'all think.

I'm just saying that being a reason to vote on way is wrong. I did read the rest of the thread, don't make assumptions I haven't. Your exact first statement including saying that your greed was the primary reason was what I was talking about. Drop it man, I'm high and don't really care. I think fully legal is actually more important than medical legalization.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

After reading this article I think Colorado has a real good chance to have Amendment 64 pass.
