I have 6 granddaddys that i neglected for a while...
just long enough to cover every last square inch of my plants with spider mites...
there is about 1/2 lb and 1-2 weeks left of flowering.
there's no way i can donate this bud to a co-op... or smoke it
what can i do? the hash would be filled with mites, and so would any butter...
i cant just throw away 1/2lb of buds tho..... it already cost me $300-400 in just electricty + nutes + time
any insight would be much appreciated

I would cut them all down and do an acetone or hexane extraction then filter the the plant material and dead mites through a coffee filter. If you can make hash through a chemical extraction on moldy plants I don't see why you can't do it with mite infested plants.

If you're already considering it a lost cause, then what do you have to lose? Take the plants out side and spray them with a hose, you'll dislodge most of them that way. Soak some tobacco overnight in a gallon of room temp water, strain tobacco out. Add an ounce of eucalyptus oil( you can get it at GNC or bath and body works),and/or some clove extract.Spray the plant down with the mix, then add a few drops of dish soap and spray the room down. Don't know if it'll kill the eggs, but I never met a bug that liked eucalyptus.
And spider mites are still bigger than most if not all sizes of bubble bags, so I don't see why you couldn't still get some decent hash out of it..

Also you can use Bang!, an organic miticide.. You can use it up to 3 days before harvest. HTG supply for $22..

+1 Pour your solvent solution through a fine filter and you'll catch all the mites.

The real question is why or how did you neglect such goodness and allow it to happen? But next step is def bubble bags . The smaller micron bags will noy let the mite pass thru

There's no way spider mites will fit through a 73 micron bubblehash screen either. I seriously don't think it's an issue

Depends on how you make the hash. If you use the bags the mites will get screened or filtered out.
