The only REAL solution is to open the border wide open, and end tariffs and taxes on imports and exports to Mexico. Either way we are going to end up supporting their economy.
So lets do the logical and realistic thing and just let whoever go wherever they want.

Our economy directly supports the Mexican economy. It is one. Its impossible to have a third-world country next door to the world's richest nation.

Illegal immigrants need to be kicked out. Period.
We do not have the money as border states to provide public services such as schooling and welfare to people who are not even here legally. Let alone the jobs they occupy
There is a legal pathway to come to the United States, just like there is any other industrialized country
Stepping up troop levels on the border will certainly be effective. Hell, even when they increased the number of Border Patrol agents, the immigration levels decreased and number of arrests and seizures increased. That must mean it is working.
Having illegals in this country benefits nobody except the illegals themselves and business owners who exploit them for labor.
