Just a random question. When can you sex your plants?
How many weeks until you can put your garden (from seed) on a 12/12 to check gender. Or is it a height requirement? Or how do you know when the plant is mature enough to sex with 12/12 ? Sorry for re phrasing im very stoned. and or should this not be done at all>>?

Some plants show sex during veg, others show a week or two into flowering.
The answer is the same for that "girl" you took home as it is for your plants, you'll know the gender when it tells you.

If a plant is in vegetative stage for a long enough period of time, it will show sex characteristics; it won't flower though.
Depending on how large you want the plant, you can flower whenever you want. It is best to flower the plant strategically before it gets to big for your grow space.
You can induce flowering whenever. Many growers use 12/12 from seed to harvest. It keeps the plants short and stout, allowing for a faster overall grow period and a stealthier grow environment.
Map out your grow. Think about your grow area. Depending on how large you want your plants, you should flower your plants accordingly.

SORRY for acting like a woman. I guess the title was asking for it. NEWAYS I found my answer.
"Plants will show sex (generally) after the fourth week or so of veg growth. If you forced them into a 12/12 right now it will take a little over a week before the first male pre-flowers appear. Females a little longer. The pre-flowers will appear on the 4th node (or higher) from the bottom of the plants btw.quote ENTHOGUY
and also about the 12/12 from start. I think its probably better to just wait and let nature do its thing though after further reading.
