In one of my earlier grows I topped a plant into oblivion.  There were no new growth nodes left whatsoever, the leaves eventually faded with beautiful colors and it died.

Outdoor is a lot easier in some ways, but indoor is cleaner.  Bugs, bud rot, and other problems can be avoided entirely.  Around here it’s hard to pull off a harvest without a heated greenhouse and early triggering strains, so I mostly focus on indoor.  That said, nothing beats being able to go outside and pull a few fan leaves off your plant for some fresh juice!

Infection wise, some diseases only affect like 10% of the seeds, so unless you grew out at least 10-20 to completion I’d be hesitant to consider them clean.  When I believed one of my clones had caught a viroid, I didn’t take any risks and culled them all.  But that one had obvious issues, went from dense with strong raspberry jam terps to airy and a slight sweet smell.

Don’t get too cocky, Star Fox.    I did that with my first coco run, didn’t check the runoff at all until I started noticing burnt tips.  I had been feeding once a day at 900ppm, and when I finally checked the runoff it was too high for my meter to read. 

The important bit to remember is that it’s always better to underfeed than to overfeed.  Same goes for watering.
