At first we tried winning some, but had no luck. We then tried buying some. All sold out. Down in the slumps and out of luck, I turned to the DIY side of the net. I spent 5 hours of my life and about 100.00 of materials. Nothing worked. I was on the verge of giving up, when it hit me! Make your own!
I collected all sorts of shit around the house and put on the old thinking cap. This is what i came up with.
Supplies:
Beer bottle
Sidewalk
Take your beer bottle outside and slam it down on the sidewalk. A wall works as well, if you don't have a sidewalk.
Dig through the glass until you find a half dollar size piece.
That's it! You can now look directly at the sun with your new eclipse glasses.

You know, $100 would buy you a nice auto-darkening welding mask, then you could look at the sun *whenever you wanted to* without holding a broken shard of glass.
You would also be immune to flash photography.

I used my oxy acetylene torch goggles...my auto lens wont turn for the sun...it has to be a spark...ha
