 Preventing Glass on Glass from getting stuck?

Everyone has probably experienced the stuck glass on glass issue before, sometimes where it's so bad breaking occurs and there is no means to salvage... So what do you do BEFORE that happens to prevent it from ever occuring? I've used chapstick before, I'm wondering if this is a good idea. I have a new glass on glass bong, and my previous one the downstem got stuck in the bong, this one has the same design, glass on glass downstem to bong, and then a glass on glass bowl to downstem.
What do you do in terms of keeping things from sticking?

Twisting and pulling usually works for me. Kinda like the sword in the stone.
But if it's REALLY wedged in there then jiggle it or give some love taps.

Has anyone tried lubricants? I used chapstick for awhile and it seemed to work, but I was worried that it'd let resin and particulates mix into it easier.

i just keep my glass squeaky clean and ive never really had a problem
Just wash all the bongs components regularly with alcohol & salt and dont leave the downstem / slide in when your not using it, follow those two rules and you will be set
chapstick im sure would work fine but I dont really think its necessary

I think cleaning is key. I've never had an issue with GonG sticking, unless 1)the pieces weren't dry when inserted, 2)there was buildup around the joints/slides.

If its really bad ,
Try rinsing with very cold water then/or
try melting butter or something and wiping the edge around the place where the bowl connects to the bong and gently jiggle it,
as for preventative measures, there probably are none, besides those already mentioned

preventative method #1, never let the joints make contact, use bong as a vase for some nice flowers instead
