I put in about 4.5 to 5 ounces of shake and small bud and got 30 grams out.

Saw this on a separate video when looking up diff bho methods the other day. I'm interested in the live resin runs, like cbdfarm was doing, down the line... But this was an awesomely easy method, I thought, when I saw it, for hash making. Much simpler/less work than using a bubble bag kit from start 2 finish as intended. Good stuff.
One question mag, where do you source your dry ice? Been looking around and locally only see maybe airgas supply(but you need a commercial acct if I'm not mistaken).
Figured online/shipping would be a hassle but maybe I should just bite the bullet and get a single block for 25$..

I get it from the grocery store for $1.25 a lb.
I use to live near a bottling company and they use to throw out huge blocks of it each morning.

wow man thats awesome.
have you ever tried making dab?
I use 91% isopropyl alcohol to make mine, comes out awesome. I used to make bubble hash all the time with my clippings, now i just make dab.

I have only made bubble hash been looking into bho tho.. I've heard just use ever clear of ya gonna alcohol it too.. Dunno lots of methods alcohol sposed to be less in the flavor dept.
I'll prob end up running butane thru tubes eventually when I can get to building a vacuum purging chamber..what consistency does your iso oil come out(oily,waxy,wha)

I kept getting differnt consistencys, Im no expert at making dab, but from what iv read, if you use indica dominant strains for material you get a more sticky consistency and if you use a sativa dominant strain for material you get a glass like consistency, from my experience that is totally true. the best batch ive ever made was from super silver haze clippings and it came out so damn good, pure shatter. the sticky stuff was really good too, but on a hot day it made a mess, it stuck to my fingers for one and had to use rubbing alcohol to get it off. sativa dominant strains are definetly the way to go, at least for iso dab.
I know most people use butane, personally ive never been interested in even trying it, only because of the cost, you need to use 5x cleaned butane for it and its not cheep.
if you should try it with isopropyl, make sure when the alcohol is all gone you mix it to get all the alcohol out. it kinda gets locked in so what i do is when the liquid isopropyl is gone, leeve it on the heat so the dab stays liquidy, and i use a butter knife to mix the shit out of it, youll see tiny bubbles form and then pop, thats alcohol evaporating, you need to get that out, its not good for your lungs.
but its all totally worth the time. if you youtube how to make Iso dab, youll get all the info you need, and youll see how easy it is.

i dont know if im a fan of the pressing tek, iv never tried it, iv only watched a couple youtube vids of it being done, the video i watched the guy used a bud big enough to roll probably 3 good sized joints from, and he got enough dab to get high one time.
but id be interested in hearing from anyone whos actually tried it.
