Quote: We have had some strange leaf patterns from these feminized seeds, here is one example.
We also have some interveinal bleaching on one particular offshoot of one of the plants that granted was close to the light. Can an excess of light or closeness to the light cause this?
That's a pretty good example of why people shouldn't waste money on feminized seeds. Still, it's interesting to look at
Yes, the light can bleach your leaves if they get too close. If the problem is only affecting those leaves closest to the lamp and nothing else, that's a pretty good indicator it's the lamp. If the problem is spreading to the whole plant you need to check your medium/nutes.
Otherwise the cabinet has filled out nicely, can't wait to see it a couple weeks down the road
We try to keep them within 2-3 inches from the cool tube though they can get within an inch without burning. Only one plant shows any signs of bleaching, she must be less light tolerant.
We flipped them into flower 13 days ago, at day 30.
Any idea how long we should see stretching before bud growth commences?

I wish we didn't have to waste our money on feminized seeds but we were unable to find a donor of female genetics and our timetable prohibited us from searching for a mother.
At Day 52, 22 days after we flipped them to flower, our days are filled with cleaning up fallen leaves and looking at beautifully budding buds. We have attached the light permanently to the top of the cabinet to allow them maximum space to grow but we are having a little crunch for space in these last 6 weeks. We plan on harvesting at day 90, our babies are growing up so fast .
Curious kitty.
This is what our days have been filled with... beautiful budlings.
Here is a shot of the biggest branch, nice and sticky.
And here is everything hung up to dry.
By now everything is dry and cured, total weight, about 4 oz, should last us a while.
We are actually trying to start another grow in this cab but I must be seed retarded right now, I germed 5 and put them into soil which looks like it was too hot so they dropped dead. I germed another 5 which went into rapid rooters, I left for one day and when I came back the lid for my humidity dome had fallen off, they were bone dry and dead... So much for the last of my good seed stock... Whenever I get some live plants I'll start another journal. I'm going to wallow in self pity for a while. Stay safe all, thanks for watching!
