Spider mites 39 days into flowering
    #725192 - 04/09/14 02:07 PM (9 years, 11 months ago)

I'm trying to decide what the best way of going about this would be.
One of my plants is 39 days into flower & has a recent spider mite problem.
It's not to the point where there is any more damage than white spots on leaves. There are no noticeable webs.
I have had GREAT success in the past getting rid of mites during veg using a spray made of habanero peppers but am worried using it this late would ruin the taste of the buds.
Does anyone have any personal experience using a habanero pepper spray during flower? I have been doing my best over the last couple days wiping the leaves with it on paper towels which has definitely helped.
I'm trying to decide whether to continue wiping the leaves as I have been & hoping for the best, spraying the whole plant or harvesting early.

I'm also curious, if I did spray the whole plant with the habanero pepper spray and it didddd fuck with the taste, would it also ruin the taste if I turned it all into hash?

I've never used that spray so I can't really tell you, but my assumption is that if it ruins the taste of the smoke, it'll definitely ruin the hash. Capsaicin is nasty shit.

Thinkin' I may be about to pull an early harvest, do a water cure & make a shit load of hash.
Don't wanna put my other plants at risk & I guess it would be perfect timing to have a lil somethin ready for 4/20.

I've been able to get rid of spider mites on lemon trees by just spraying the leaves kind of hard with a water spray bottle, but I don't know how this works with a heavy infestation. I used to always have mites every year, but now I never do. Not sure if they drown or get knocked off or it's just luck or what. It's probably a lot harder to spray them off cannabis during flowering tho

or get Lady bugs?

Good happy joyful loving happy news folks

Ended up pullin the one plant early which sad
BUT
it turns out only the fan leaves have been infested
I expected mites everywhere but the buds are fuckin fine.
Still water curing about 2/3 of the harvest though.
Gonna put a nug that isn't being water cured in a little display case with the words "My first harvest" on it.
I truly expected things to have been much worse, but it was all for the best.
I love you all.
Thank you for being the Growery.
