Personally I'm kind of paranoid where I buy from... I'm assuming the city you live in has government owned hydroponic shops to collect information on who buys lights or who comes in and buys 500lbs of soil a month.
Obviously if you pay cash you won't need to show ID or have a paper trail.
I'd be even more paranoid of ordering stuff online.
I'm just paranoid in general.
However I know a guy who's crazy ass dad who's definately a criminal owns a hydroponics shop and it's one of the better in the city. So that's my solution.
Where do you guys buy your shit?

You can buy online... don't import, though. Certain imports get registered as they go through customs.
You can buy used, that's always good.
Always pay cash and don't give names. Maybe park your car a ways away or take the bus, in case people are checking it out and taking plates... just if you're paranoid.

A lot of the crazy deals I find are from the states  I'm Canadian... 
I wanna get a 600w setup /w reflector and digital ballast.

Yea cash only. Defiantly don't want Hydro Store coming up on your bank statement... Sometimes those places are watched by cops also, so take different cars and shit.

If you buy some shit at a store don't drive straight to your house. I met a couple of guys one night in jail who had been followed by the cops from a hydroponics shop.

With buying online, you have that paper trail... too. So shop with reputable people and if possible pay with money order, eGold or something like that.

I think that most credit card companies and delivery companies are aware of that scam.
It's not as safe as it used to be.
