It's a Seagate ST118273N, I looked it up, and apparently it's worth 175$ even though it only has an 18GB capacity.. Is 7200 RPM that much higher than average? It says it's SCSI but I don't know what the hell that means either, I'm about to look it up. I was actually looking at this hard drive to put it into an external enclosure and use it as a backup, but it looks like this might just be a good piece for a gaming computer, can anyone shed some light on this? I'd appreciate it.
On this one the price is even higher, but on average the good price was about $180. The guy I work with always thinks I'm wasting my time even giving a second glance to the hard drives we find in the storages, he considers me a hoarder, I'm glad he doesn't know what the fuck he's doing when it comes to computers, I just came up
I also found a graphics card, I looked it up and it's apparently $135, it's a Rage Mobility, a guy I know was selling some of his computer parts, I might just put together a gaming computer soon
Why would you pay that much for a harddrive that's so small. Especially why yer just going to make it an external anyways, when you can get something like this?

That's what I am thinking. I paid like 60$ for my Toshiba 500GB, and even that is expensive now. Memory just keeps getting cheaper and cheaper. Ive seen 1TB drives going for under 100$ just about every where

I guess I should have been more specific, I literally found, the harddrive, in a storage, so I'm trying to figure out whether I should use it, original I had picked it up thinking of using it for an external hard drive, because I didn't know how many GBs were on it but it was huge so I assumed a lot, it was Seagate which I'm familiar with so I just took it to find out later. I don't know why it's so expensive, that's why I'm asking, is there something special about this hard drive? Why is it so goddamn expensive? Is it super fast or something? If it's nothing special, I'll just sell it to someone who's willing to overpay for it like that, if it's good then I'll use it for a gaming computer, since it's only 18GB it's not going to be an external hard drive. I thought I might be missing something about this hard drive that makes it special.
Edit: Also, I have 2 other hard drives that are 80GB and 160GB that I'm going to be using as externals, since I can apparently get the cases for about $9-20

That's what I was thinking, but they usually arent that much in price difference
