 TEK: Using Glass jar to make BHO

Hello Everyone,
This is my first forum post. I have been reading the forums for some time now and I wanted to contribute something
I had been dissatisfied with the normal method of making BHO that is out there. Namely, the method where you use a PVC tube with end caps. Some companies have even capitalized on this to make products like the bee extractor. Basically these all use plastic parts which can leech chemicals. Some companies offer metal and glass, but these are usually very expensive.
Also, I found that the BHO at the end usually has water. After looking at the problem, I realized it was the condensation from the receding butane that would get the BHO wet.
I thought about coming up with a way to improve this, and this is what I have come up with. I have made a video which is linked below.
I am not at all entirely sure if this is a unique idea, but here is it.
It involves using a Glass mason jar.

 good job bro clean set up. where do you get your butane? i did this the other day with 91percent alc and some trim. when i harvest i think ill try this method thanks for sharing. oh when all the alc had evaporated what was left was sticky n gooey in the pyrex so i put it in the freezer for about 5 mins. it made it alot easier to scrape and handle. and how do you like to smoke it?

Thanks  Usually, I get my butane from a head shop. cigar shops will have it too.

Just wondering if I could add the bud then add the butane? Or will it soak for too long if I do it that way?

I just made oil with this tek. I really like the simplicity of it. I also like that I could use things from my kitchen for it. I used 8.5 ounces of frosty trim and got 16 grams of sticky goey yummyness!
I would post pics, but I seem to be having a very hard time accessing the site right now...

how many jars did you have to use? only thing i dislke about this is you lose liquid because the flowers absorb so you have to use extra butane. how are you purging after you evaporate the butane?

@RONHero i sprayed a can into a jar (before i got my glass tube) and then threw to muuch flower and it absorbed it all so i blasted two cans on top of the flowers and it worked just fine.

I think I used a dozen cans? I didn't keep track, although I should have...
I'm also thinking about using this as a way to use my seal-a-meal to vacuum purge...
