Are they black or purple? In the past, if I handled mine VERY rough before they were dry they would sometimes look black but were actually blue/purple. I never shared those ones tho because I didn't want people thinking it was normal for them to be that color.

It could just be bruising or it could be the wrong type of shroom or even mold. We would have to have pics to tell more tho
Are the caps black too? I've never managed to bruise my caps and no matter what color the stems are my caps are still always the same.

Nope, just black, and gray in places.  And from what I understand, they were so crumpled up, that it was impossible to tell caps from stems (my friend described it as " crispy, thin potato-chip-lookin' shit" lol...gotta love the hood:), I did'nt see them myself though, just talked to the connect over the phone.
I know dry is good, but the guy said theyre supposed to be black BECAUSE they are dry. Im starting to think he got misinformed as well though,  because he was defending that statement like a female lion defends her cubs lol.

Well that statement is completely wrong  You should take a pic with your phone of magash's pic and show the dude and let him know that THATS what they are supposed to look like!

Word. About to do it right now.

Quick question, is it possible to regenerate an auto? If so, is the proceedure the same as w/ normal plants?
I want to regenerate it enouph to take a few clones, cause w/ my luck the bagseed is probably a he...

ofcourse, I heard that you cant clone autos countless times, but recently found a grow journal where Lowryder #2 was regenerated twice.

Theres pale-green spots all over the inner parts of new leafs. Can it be light damage? Its the only pot wrapped in foil, and it was up on the pot that is standing upside down in the pic.

I was also wondering if a grow lamp(hps) is compatible with a regular security light ballast. I found this one http://www.e-conolight.com/wall-packs/cutoff/cut-off-250-400w-hid/e-wpdh40qz.html and even though the price is right (pun not intended), I want to be able to upgrade.

Also, if anyone has a good idea for a diy air-collable refllector, help a brotha out! Wwwww

A pyrex bake around is a good start for a DIY cool tube
Also, you can get 400 watters designed for gardens with remote ballasts and reflectors for equal and less then the price you posted

Lumatek. I know its one of the most expensive brands, but there is no other hydro stores within 10 miles of me, and this one only carries lumatek ballasts.
I saw a 400watter at htgsupply.com for around 2 (with good air-coolable reflector & shipping), but I wouldnt want to order something that obvious from a site that im not sure of. I did get my ph test kit there, and I ordered a security light online for myself (im looking for quality lamps for a different grow) from some hardware store's website.
I need 4 of them too, so if pigs are watching there gonna get interested.

If you have a site that you know, from personal experience, is safe, please share.

Htg and rvf are both good vendors. Rvf is a sponsor here so you could prolly talk to him here before you ordered as well. I can say that I have never had a grow lamp delivered to where anyone could tell what the contents was.

I did have a hydro unit shipped once (from ebay or amazon I forget) that showed up in the original manufacturers box with pictures all over the fucking box. I was pissed as hell, but it was at a safe addy with a huge veggie garden in the front yard so didn't look too bad

Any ways, most places try to be as discreet as possible, but others dont care. And Im sure RVF and htg are pretty discreet

Got my 400 watter yesterday.
Should I keep the 2week ak48 seedlings in there (its a 4x2 closet), or take them back to the 2x2 closet where I have 4 42watt cfls? The temps climbed up to 85 at tops btw, but Im guessing thats ok for now.

Just saw the edit, and I agree. The more I think about it, and the more I talk to the guy, the more problems I see along the way.
The situation changed though. He is now ready to invest only 1500, and expects a pound in 3 months. This is better, because I can get 2 600watters+equipment+soil/nutes, so my chances of yielding that much are ok (as far as I understand.)

But yeah, you were deffinetly right about friends turning on you. Hes already acting like I report to him...

First I see you have pics called "night pics". Now if your lighting the plants during their night period esp during flowering that shit stops now. Take your night pics just after the lights go out or right before they turn on or you have a chance of stressing them and causing hermie flowers.

Just how big do you plan to let the plants get before flowering and how many do you expect to grow? Plus what strain do you plan to grow? Reason is if those plants you plan on growing are like the ones now and not at least 3 times the size and quiet a few more of them the chances of you not hitting a lb in 3 months are better then the chances of you pulling it off.

Partnerships rarely work out in the growing game esp when one of the people has all the money and isn't doing the growing. Never mind the fact that he's laying time demands on you. Take your time and earn the lights yourself. Just some advise and I'm willing to bet (going from what I've read in this thread) that if you decide to do it it's gonna come back to bite you in the ass.

Well I did take night pics right before lights off, but I didnt know a sexchange opperation can happen any time in the plant's life.thought it was just flowering

And I think you underestimate (i dont throw words like that around) me a little.
the grow I want to get a p from will be 24 plants, 24 sq. ft, 1200watts. I wanted to do 4 plants per sq. ft., but realised I wont have that many clones. I will be using 3 recomended strains - cheese, heavy duty fruity and big bud. I will be vegging for 14 days then 12/12.
I LITERARY read everything you ever posted about SoG (hopefully thats not creepy), because I figured if I copy a sucsess, I might just get a half-ass result. But now that I did this, I just feel sooo confident. I have 0 questions regarding what to do.

I now understand how right you and c99hunter were when you said this partnership is a bad idea.. I was sure that I know the guy like I know myself, but hes already turning on me, acting like
he is boss and I am stock boy. But its too late :'( the lease for the apt. was sighned 3 days ago. There is another way out of it, but im not sure its any easyer. He agreed to 2 p's of shrooms instead. If its a month earlyer.
