Check this out. Just happened a couple hours ago. If anyone is into online poker like me, you'll find this pretty interesting. All of the major sites have been seized by the FBI. This includes Absolutepoker.com, Fulltiltpoker.com, Ultimatebet.com, and Pokerstars.com. Apparently the goverment was not very happy about them not donating taxes so needless to say they won't be operating here anymore. Here's the real kicker though. If you try to go to any of these sites it prominentily displays the FBI warning like it's caution tape on a crime scene. In the notice it says that anyone participating, gambling, or betting on the site is liable for 5 years in jail and $250,000 fine. I doubt they are really gonna do that, but I'm assuming I won't be able to withdrawal any funds I had on there. Well SOB, the government just blows my mind sometimes. If you go to this site you can read a little about it. There is not that much information yet because it honestly happened like an hour ago. Your not allowed to breathe if it doesn't benefit "the man" in some way. I guess they were doin some other shady stuff, but come on... that could have led to some arrests... not a total shutdown and threatening the customer.
Lol, I always thought this shit was gay porn for 40 year old men who stole people's credit cards. I know it's not really like that, but I couldn't help but laugh whenever I saw the commercials of some dude sitting at a table in complete nylon with sunglasses on indoors. No offense to any poker players.

Most of those websites are scams, and have hackers within the company that use programs and can see your cards. Was a huge scandal a while back. Was actually caught by other players who noticed they only went big when there was big money to be had, and played passive every other time.... and folded every time they were out played.

You're way off base dude. Not all those sites are scams. I know me and you talked about this a while back. That was just a big thing with ABSOLUTE POKER and the situation was remedied. Anywho, I've made right about 40k in the past two years just from playing poker. Doesn't seem like a scam to me. Just up your game, you might feel the same. A lot of people use it. It can be good and bad for a few reasons.
I forgot to mention I also didn't really care either way, was just saying I saw why they did it.
Honestly I've never used those sites for real money, and have only ever known people to win online.
I only said that because like 2 days before there was a CNN special over it, and talked about how other poker players were actually the ones that caught them.
