Not online but I used to chill with a group of people and we'd just sit around smokng cigars drinking playing poker.

I play with friends and shit still, but that gets kinda lame. No one can ever afford anything more than a 20$ buy-in and we usually struggle to find 6-8 people to play
It's nice being able to make 50$ on a single hand
If you guys ever get bored you should install Full Tilt

we never got that in-depth but a couple years back we used to hang out on mIRC on #lnc, get like 4-5 of us playing and we would all just help each other out while verbally harassing the other players at the table

poker is a lot of luck, but it's also a lot of skill
learning players. knowing when to bet. learning how to somewhat count cards, or at least compute probability
there have been days when I throw 25$ in my account and make 200$ over an hour or two. But there are also days when I lose that same 25$ in a matter of 10-15 minutes

True that. Credit card companies love gamblers too. I have known so many people who got into debt from online gambling it's laughable. But then again I've seen people buy $500 dollar gift cards from Home Depot with their credit cards so they could sell the gift card for $250 at the pawn. Multiple times a week at that.

i won 1st place out of 3500 people also 2nd out of 4500 and 5th out of 5000 so i thought i would give real money a try.... lost 200... never again  Don't play realmoney... you will lose it all
