The best relaxing situation you have been in? For me its anytime I can get outside alone and lay down and just listen. To the point where I could just sleep like a baby out there. In Peru we had this huge field next to us and there was a hammock near our cabins. I stayed out there after showering one day and was there for a good three hours, dozing in and out of consciousness. It was amazing perfect 60 something temperature, sunny, low humidity. What's your perfect lazy snoozing situation?

i like sleeping on the ground outside.
usually at disc golf courses because that's where i usually am.
last time i slept outside somewhere besides a course i kept getting hassled by punk ass kids.
they would come up and tap me on the shoulder saying georgetown police department.
i woke up saying fuck the police and remember being relieved when it was just some local kids.

Out on the boat fishing or just hanging out, doesn't matter. Or in my bed with the window slightly cracked falling asleep to the sound and smell of rain. Problem is I don't want to wake up

Laying out on my king size bed, windows wide open with full sun warming up the bed and me while there is a light cool breeze blowing through.
I also really like the huge hot tub bars at resorts. Sitting on a pillar in the warm water, leaning on the bar, drinking some absurdly large tropical drink mixed with high proof rum and watching all the bodies.

i wish i could sleep in weird places. problem is, i have a horrible ringing in my ears and if i dont have a fan going or some other kind of neutral noise it drives me fucking nuts.
that said, i sleep on the beach in front of my house a few times a week in the summer. usually because i passed the fuck out, but the waves help my ear ringing better than all other noises too.
cant sleep now. had a dream about a tornado and woke up. now my brain seems to think its 9 am not 4. fuck.

I'll smoke with ya bro  Sometimes I can't sleep unless I have absolutely zero noise, I got myself some earplugs and I use them when I need to, sucks about the ringing though. Did you have an ear injury when you were younger?

like someone mentioned, I haven't been truly relaxed in a loooong time. Not the weed and oxy on the couch type of relaxed, but the "life is good" mantra going through my head on a fucking beach with my stupid friends and a not-to-bitchy girl with me not giving fuck about tomorrow type of tip. The type of relaxed where I have not duties, or no responsibilities to take care of. Goddamn I haven't had much fun in years. 
But yeah, these days im most relaxed with a drink and my guitar. Or sleep

I did a 14 day stretch on the AT once. After day 3 I really started to forget and let go of normal work/school worries. It was awesome to be so disconnected from the world. We only dropped off the trail twice for hot showers and fresh food.

Yeah...I don't think I ever went swimming in the ocean, but I love swimming in lakes. Which is just as terrible, because tiger muskies live in there and they're just as bad as any horrible ocean fish.
Anyone ever go out on a lake at night in a boat and use a light to look in the water? FUCKIGN BIG fish come in really shallow  And I go night swimming all the time. Its terrifying.

Hell yeah. I don't like to fish during the day because sun glare off the water gives me a headache. I do a lot of night fishing and have had some beasts come up just within reach of my lantern's glow. Saw one grab a baby turtle last summer.

95% of my fishing is for catfish. I do it from the shore and use uncooked deer meat or chicken livers. Normal catch range is within 25' of the shore.

i need to try something like that
most of the fishing around here are commercialized lakes built for the sole purpose for people to catch fish. sorta takes the fun out of it when you dont have to work to catch something

fuck yeah! i remeber i used to fish with my grandpa every week. We would come home get em ready for cooking, and then my grandmother would fry em up. Either crappies or catfish.
