ok, so i spent about 3 hours tralling my city to find a ph meter to no avail. what kind of shops sell them, i checked all the gardening places and they didnt have any. also would litmus paper be ok? i am in the uk and would rather go to a shop that get one from the net. thanks in advance guys.

swimming pool center, like POOL CITY.. year round/
pick up ph paper sticks in the summer when pool supplies are out/ buy reduced sticks the end the season/ never run out..

Why not just pick up the telly and call around instead of 3hrs of travel?
This same problem occurs in the Shroomery cultivation forum all the time-- but really, if you are hoping to source materials locally than you are best to open a local phone book instead of asking the internetz.

Look in your local phone book to find out if there's a hydro shop nearby...

thank you guys, we dont have a local phonebook in my house or a phone with any credit; but im pretty sure i know where a pool supplies place is so im gonna check there when i get the time.

I also couldn't find ph tester in my city. I was using litmus paper but realized it's not accurate, so I bought hanna ph meter from ebay
