so i got tired of having stacks of grow crap jammed into the closet, and figured why not just use it to run a grow in there. i've got my other grow location so this is more of an experimental side project
400w HPS bare bulb 4" fan exhausting into attic random house type fan blowing upwards under the bulb
handwatering coco coir
current babies - 3 big momma F2 (from my own seed stock) seedlings, 1 blue dream clone, 1 hash master clone. probably going to throw more in later but thats what i had laying around in the bathroom today.
my plan is to just veg them out to tallllll trees and hopefully pull a nice yield. my math says that with the canopy 1' from the bulb on all sides, and 3ft tall, thats a little over 18 square feet, or equivalent to two 3x3 tables. wish me luck!
finally! we must have a psychic link, because I have been thinking the same thing for a couple weeks. a vertical garden seems ideal for a small space, my concern only being the heat of the bulb and possible burning. I am all over this grow, I wish you the best.
what are your thoughts for LST or possible cage Scrog? to attain max yields while keeping setup efficient.

cage scrog i cant do because it would make the back part impossible to access - look at the closet door.
my one idea so far is to have 6 plants in 3 gal pots, which sit in 5 gal buckets to catch runoff. then attached 1 foot wide x 3 foot tall scrog to teh bucket. with 6 buckets i would then have a hexagonal scrog that can be opened up / moved one plant at a time when i have to tend things.
