CBD oil help a friends colitis.

my friend has had colitis really bad past couple years, to the point were he cant function at all and although he stays in shape and active its hard for him to be restrained in a school work setting. If he eats something not on his diet his bowels act up. He has tried the traditional meds but leave him unable to sleep. aswell as other herbal things. I have gave him weed several times but usually sativa dom stuff that i have. I have never gotten an answer if it helps or not as he prob was anxious to smoke during a flare up as he feels it make it worse. Anyway i know there was an "elixir" available from someone who converted thc to cbd down in cali, which is perfectly legal and does not get you stoned. does anyone have a source for this CBD oil?? If not i guess i will have to go rob a hemp field and make some "hash" for him and mix that with normal hemp oil for a good nutritious relief!
