 placement of carbon filter in grow tent???

just wondering if there is a specific place to put the carbon filter in my tent. i figure it needs to be at least light level or above. but, how far down from the top? horizontal or vertican, behind the light or infront of it?
definitely cant be on the ground, theres no room in the tent for whats in there right now...
sorry, i could have wrote this a lot better but im high as fuck and im going to sleep.

If you only have one fan for exhuast then hook your system up filter,duct,light,duct,outside tent or vice versa. Make it level or a little higher than the light and horizontal.

why would you want the filter outside the tent, that wouldn't do shit. If you think the frame of your sun hut could support the filter, hang it from the frame using some chains.

you misunderstood me.
the filter will be inside the tent... i just said there's no room on the floor of the tent to let it sit on, because its a damn jungle in there 
my idea was to hang it up using chains, but my question was how and where in the tent is the best location.
