It really is going to depend on if you can keep your water temperatures down. If your not using anything to keep your res. cool, I would say a soil grow would be a better bet.

I would say about the same maybe with the hydro being a little more efficient as far as heat goes

Use silica blast. It helps the plants handle stress (like high heat) and it works pretty damn good.
