so my sour diesel cutting is doing QUITE well!!! im amazed its doing as well as it is. i checked the soil to see how wet/dry is was just a minute ago. i dumped the top dry layer out, and then just plopped the entire plant out of the Styrofoam cup. the soil came out in one chunk. saw roots everywhere on one side, and nothin on the other side. it was kinda damp, so i put it back in the cup, and poured a half cup of water into the cup, with just a little trickling out of the bottom.
how often should i water a rooted cutting like this? i guess you're supposed to go by the wetness of the soil, so how wet/damp should the soil be before needing to water?
I've never really used any type of set schedule when I water. To determine when they need to be watered I just feel how heavy the cup is. Pick it up directly after watering it, and on a every other day basis or so I check the weight again. You can feel that weight difference fairly easily.

I like to be too dry rather than too wet and certainly when you pick up the container and it surprises you how light it has become is a good clue when to water lightly.
