I ordered a bunch of seeds from www.marijuana-seeds.nl and out of 8 strains all were tiny except the Big Bud seeds.  I have never seen mature seeds that small.

Good observation FB

    :getstoned:

What can I tell u. I've been stoned sense 1969.

The Journey Continues, better.

:tarzan:

As for the grow:
Will be making more seeds(I'm getting better at this). Also taking pollen.
Will also put a mother somewhere in the flower room on 18/6 fluorescent lighting.
Also will make about 50 clones.
Using Fox Farm / Ocean Forest for soil and FF nutes.
Clones will be put under a 1000 watt hps light.

And hopefully I'll keep pH where it needs to be this time.

Man, you wait a long time to plant those!  Usually people put em in the medium when the taproot first shows, I haven't seen anyone wait for the cotyledons.

I'm only going to make a comment about it once, but every time you type the words "tripping ever sence" or "stoned sense 1969" I cringe. In both instances the spelling should be "s-i-n-c-e".
Spelling nazi rant: end.

You're my new hero.

Your plants are lookin' a little stretchy, you might try to increase the amount of light they're receiving, or move the light closer to them if its a fluorescent.
Looking good otherwise!

No, I rasied the pot by putting a 6 in can for them to sit on. Have 8 to 10 more days for the last grow to be complete. Then will be able to lower the light.

I also like to wait until the cotyleydons.  If I do it right and I don't break them, then I am able to plant them with the leaves at ground level.

You'd be suprised how short I can keep a plant to the soil level w/ the tek.

I prefer it!

Oh and BTW do you leave the paper towel open like that or did you fold it over the seeds... I sometimes get rot after they crack because it gets too moist...

I'm biased too b/c I plant my seeds directly into rapid rooters.
I give them a soak overnight, then plant them.
I do this b/c of Mandala mike's (and others) idea that once the root has emerged, their is a microstructure of very fine roots that are damaged when handled.
Obviously, you can still be successful the other way; I think 80% of growers use the paper towel method to germ.

I leave the paper towel on for 3 days then remove. The plate sets in a jeffy hut from wal mart. Never had rot.

I let all the seeds get started before planting.

NO my temps range fro 75 to 90.
Most of the a/c hangs out in the cooler weather. So the inside heat builds up. Been keeping the door open at nights to help .
Thinking about putting in an intake vent for fresh air this next weekend.
With a Stanly fan of course.

I've also waited for the cotyledon to show before planting the seedlings. Works well as long as you keep them moist there shouldn't be a problem.

aye lookin like some good stuff kapn, and yeah, larger clones, in my head just thinking it thru, the root system it would need you want as small as you can get so it can get a root system goign that can support itself quickly.  i had one i was keeping under a dome, and it was working for a bit but i donno if it got too oxegen deprived or what i kept spraying it multiple times daily givng it fresh air when i did, but it eventually just dried up, still green none the less. was odd.

Day 44 week6

The Purple #1 has recovered nicely with the transplant. Will let it keep growing for clones.

Have all 8 clones under 12/12 for 2 days. Can't wait to know which ones are female. Will take pollen for some seed down the way.

The clones in the center are from the Purple #1 , had to trim the plants to keep them even.

I really like using that Jiffy greenhouse, have been getting a better clone success rate with it.

The elevated seedlings on the right are AK47 x Diesel auto flowers. Have more germinating. The males will be cut as soon as seen. I need some good bud to smoke.

Looks like I got to wait 2 or 3 week to know male from female.

So I wait and the plants grow.

Sorry for the deleted pic's. I ran out of space. Need to get a supporter account. After the remodel.

Day 51  Week 7

The grow
Can't belive how tall the plants are getting under the T5HO

  The clones

10 days into 12/12
Waiting for sex to show. Hope there is more than one female.

Sorry worng pic, see next post.

Roots are also coming out of the peat pods. 8days.The clones in the water cups are 10 days and no roots but the clones still look very heathly.

This setting around waiting is a bummer. Think I'll smoke a bowl.

You should paint the outside of those 2 litre bottles, or at least cover them in duct tape.  The root system will be a lot happier.

Its a learning thing.

I use translucent cups for seedlings too.  Although not clear, I can still see the roots and you are right, it is AMAZING to see how fast the roots can grow compared to the green foliage.  Although I have seen plants grow an inch every day before.

What happened to all the pictures prior to 11/29?  Did you run out of space or something?  If you like watching the roots grow you should try using an aeroponic or dwc set up where you can just lift the lid to see them.  I'd like to do that myself sometime.  people too often neglect root health and don't pay it any mind.  the establishment of your roots during the first couple weeks of growth establish whether or not you will be able to bring the plant to its potential.

I ran out of space. Then I deleted a few pics and looked back into the post , they were still there. So I deleted more. Next day they were gone.I forgot the sever only updates daily.
Inverted help me with this and now I'll use my Shroomery acct to help out until I can afford to get a supporter acct here. My grow room remodel has cost alot more than what I was planning on. New light, reflector and ballast should be here by Friday.

In order for me to do hydro I need a cooler.Need to keep water temp around 70f.Tried with an EZ cloner but my water temps stay fron 80 to 90f.(got root rot) I have been acquiring the parts needed to do this with a refrigerator. Will start working on this after I start 12/12 on my current grow. The sub tropics can stay as hot as a whore on payday.

Sounds awesome KK!  I envy your situation!  I'm limited to a perpetual micro grow so I don't really get to see what I can really do indoors.

Did you get that figured out with the shroomery?  I hope so!  That's what I've been using for this entire grow journal.

(To all that don't know, You can upload all of your pictures to your shroomery account, and when you get to copy the HTML link that you paste into your thread after the upload is finished, paste it into your Growery post and it will work exactly like you uploaded it to the Growery, thus doubling your existing space w/out buying a supporter account!)

:shoosh:

I also use IrfanView to scale down my pictures so they don't take up so much space.  It's like a super light easy to use version of PhotoShop.

Day 58 Week 8

The Purple #1 is about 1 1/2 ft. tall. With 2 plants turning out to be males there is now more room after there removal.
Can't wait to start cloning.

The AK47 x Diesel is also doing nice. Not any stretching with the light 15 inch's above them.

You could look at it that way.  Or you could compare the yield you get from the plants grown under the T-5's, to those grown under the 1k watt light   Hell, even a 600 watter would do you more justice then the Flo's.

I do understand being tight on cash, this is my first grow where I had to seriously watch my budget.  I'd love some new fans right now and a longer cool tube, can't spend the 300 bucks or so I'd need to do it.

I'm hopping the air cooled lights will cut down on the elect usage. A/C being what I spend the most elect on.

Right now the main grow room has clones starting in it. If I'm successful in cloning then it will not be long before 12/12.

In the future I want to replace the fluorescent lights with a 400 watt hps with air cooled reflector for mothers. Maybe even smaller wattage light. But 1st need to finish the remodel of the grow room.

Any reason you're propping that lid there with a screwdriver?  You normally want 3-4 days with that lid completely closed so the plants can live off of the humidity in the dome while they root.

Good to know. One of the leaves is pressing against the dome and look to wet.Thought I would give it a little room for a bit.

And, hope u can see the purple tint on this clone. It is one used to determine sex.

Both pic's same clone.

Insulated ducting works to help reduce vibration.  You can also build a box which absorbs any vibration of the fan and reduces sound.

Looking good thought!

Hard to tell from the pic but the in line fan is just 2 ft from the wall and vents to the outside world. The noise is from the air coming out.A wosh sound. Think I will need a muffler of some kind. This will be added on the outside. Will build a store room there to cover it up.

Day 106 week 15

The Mother's, still growing strong.

The Clones, About 60, going to need about 136, will grow in 2 gallon bags.

The cloning is going slow but I'm learning. Out of 4 tries only 1 has gone as it should. Will keep going at it till I have as many as needed.
The mothers will also be put into this grow. I will keep 1 clone of each plant. Just in case I find that one plant :bestbud:.  Think that is the way to go after the amount of time I have invested into this.

The reason I'm keeping clones instead of the mothers is white fly eggs.
Less plant ,less eggs to look for.
Will be getting lady bugs to help with the problem.

And a long period of time getting here but I've stayed the course.
Onward to the green.

91 clones

Will let the new clones do some vegging.Want all the clones to look about the same.

Day 127  Week 18

The grow room is complete and ready to go. The muffler I made worked perfect.
Will be getting soil this week. Hope 20 bags of FF/OF is enough for this project.

The Mothers

Some AK47 X Diesel Auto Flowers. Just in case I don't have enough clones.

The Clones, 90 of em on that table.

Well I'm way short on the number of clones I think are needed but its time to get this grow growing. Will be using 2 gal bags for pots.

The grow space is 5ft wide x 10 ft long x 7 ft high.

If needed I can always add some auto flowers to the grow so no light is wasted.

Have no idea how many plants I will need. Sometimes I can't believe I added another light to the room.

While the flowing process is going will redesign the clone room.

Hope It didn't herm any plants.

Alot of work transferring that many clones.

Clones are looking great dude, I hope you smoked a big fatty after transplanting all those haha. I can't tell from the pics but do you have saucers or trays in there or are you not watering to runoff? Can't wait to see those in flower.

Good luck and be safe dude, I hope you have less than 99 total :/

Day 141  Week 20 (Week 1 for flowering,Day 5)

Can see the alot of growth. Going under the 1000 watt makes a big difference.

Still have a few white flies but the Lady Bugs keep them in check.

Will have the Mothers in here soon. Then will bomb the rest of this place.

Damn, White Flies are such a PITA.

You're going to have more pot than you know what to do with man. How tall are you going to let them grow before you go 12/12?

My dried, cured yield prediction is officially going to be 12.5 lbs., give or take 1.5 lbs.

Does that seem sensible?

11-14 lbs from 1400w huh? So 4,928g minimum, or 3.52g per watt? Hahaha, the rest of us must be doing something wrong.

"3.52 grams per watt", if that happens I want a super cultivator tag:rofl:

This is a 5 x 11 space with 2,1000watt lights. I went outside the 4 x 4 foot print to see what the difference is. Did not want to waste any light.

This is a learning process.

Oh sheesh, that's what I get for not investigating thoroughly. I'd assumed 2,000 watts. Or something like that..

I was guessing he'd grow them to about 2-3', so I was guessing about 2.2oz per plant * 91 plants / 16oz per lb. = 12.51 lbs.

i'm not even going to say believe it when i see it.

don't get me wrong though, you are going to have a serious haul
possibly one of the largest I have seen on this sight.

I'd say this grow could more realistically yield 5.5 pounds (assuming 28 grams per plant).  An Oz per plant is not a hard thing to achieve, but no matter what the average yield is per plant 91 plants is going to leave kid with more pot then he'll need for a good while

My 1st use of pyrethrum was a spray that burned the leaves(came out more like a foam than spray). Got it from a supplier on the net. Also killed the Lady Bugs when put on treated plants.

Would be willing to try a fogger but the 1st round of Lady Bugs kept the White Flies uder control. Just ordered 4500 more of them.

Also have traps.

So do you think I should also bomb?

Got the Lady Bugs in today. Put 500 or so into the garden.
When the garden was in the clone stage 500 looked like an army. Now it looks like a good try. Do not want to use to many if I'm just going to kill them. Hopefully the bomb will be in soon.

Still waiting on that ballast too. Weather gets much warmer and I'll be running the a/c.

Send some positive vibs my way.

This is the bomb on its way.
http://www.texashydroponics.com/shop/product.php?productid=2028&cat=179&page=1

After this kills the living white flies I'll add 2000 Lady Bugs in to get whatever hatches. Will repeat as needed.

Day 148  Week 21

Day 10 of flowering

As you can see growth is going well.
Hopefully the new ballast will be in this week.

Bomb the White Flies last night. Will give it a few days before I start adding Lady Bugs back to the garden. Hope this keeps them down till this grow is done.
Did notice White Flies outside. So will also spray outside too.

These White Flies piss me off more than my ex wife.

Need to pollinate one of the plants. That will be more seed stock than I need.

Light Note: Can see a big difference in foot print of lights(bat wing vs SS2) SS2 wins hands down.

Looking very nice my man, I can only imagine what it's like to maintain something of that size!  Hope the bug bomb works out for ya, the important thing with dealing with any pest infestation is to kill the eggs/larvae.  If you don't get them it just turns into a vicious cycle of frustration.  So hopefully the bug bomb gets all the eggs and larvae (any thing flying around will most definitely be dead), and if not your lady bugs clean up the rest.

Good luck, I've got my popcorn

Looked in after lights came on. Saw maybe a dozen or so white flies.
Kill them when I can.

Hopefuly the Lady Bugs will take of them.

The watering is not that bad but next grow there will be a better watering system.

Day 155,  Week 22

Day 17 of Flowering

The over all shot.

Under the mh(batwing) The growth is so much thicker.

Under the hps. Not as thick of growth. The White Flies seem to prefer this light. Those sticky traps do a great job.

The buds, they are a growing.

May have to add more sticky traps but at the time the White Flies are in ck. Will not use use any more chemicals for there control.

Have a new ballast on the way. Can't get here soon enough. The batwing puts out to much heat. I'm very happy with the vent system for the lights.

Has been a real eye opener having the HPS and the MH side by side.
Thinking about plants 2 weeks under MH and the HPS on next grow.

The journey has been long but what an education. I need to work on my cloning. Maybe build a cloning room.

  The over all grow

One of the sick plants

Temp is ruining 75 to 80f in the room but stays at 80f under the light.
There is an a/c running but I keep it on power saver.
The a/c is the cost on the power bill.

Am now having to support plants. Will do that tonight if i can find the sticks today.

Will post more pic's soon.

As I've gone thru the plants flushing them, also tied up branch's to a rod . The buds were falling over as they get some weight on them. This has also helped with light penetration.

Starting to look like a sea of poles.

Damn, that's alot of work.

One more day and it will be done. Wish I had a better way to ck for pH.

Should of done this 2 weeks ago. The light penetration is so much better.

Just the height, 2 to 3 ft.

Have 4 mothers. Can see some diffance between the plants.

Most likely will not grow this strain again. So many strains out there.

EDIT: note to self. Outside temp 74f. Temp coming out of light vent 84f.

While it does not match the pic in Jorge Cervantes book it does look sweet.

Another week or two before the main harvest. Have already got 2 ounces dry from the few plants that were ready.

Nice pull.

Def think that brown is some kind of mold. Did it spread into the buds at all? I would prune them off ASAP the leaves look too damaged to be doing any good.

well, the easy way to check for mold is to rub it.  If it comes off on your hand you have mold, if it stays on the plant, other issues

It is mold. Thankfully only 3 plants.  Leaves only.

Will need to add a fan to the next grow.

Humidity ran up to 75% sometimes.

After this grow. I am Experienced. Four grows anyway.

You got the tray right but I'm not quick drying.

Have 8 tray's. Run the fan twice a day for a few. Keep a plastic bag over them when not running the fan.

The electric bill went up $50 the last month. Sub tropic heat can be a bitch when flowering.

Weight:

:drumming:

40 oz's or 2 1/2 lbs

Gives new meaning to "40 oz's to freedom" to me.:yesnod:

That works out to be .56 grams per watt.

12 plants had root rot, I'll take that as a sign that the new light system works(air cooled light hoods). Will be looking for this next grow.

What a learning period I've gone thru. So Cool.

Thank you each and every person who helped.

Next grow a 4x4 flood and drain table will be under one of those lights. Hydro,Yes.

Inverted, I stoped trying to smoke that shity brick weed altogether.
Its a great feeling to smoke a bowl and be stoned for hours.

Ojom, sorry bro the cam took a dive have not had a chance to replace
      it yet.

the man, did have a herm. A few plants are heavy with seed. Less than 1/2 the crop with light seed and the rest without seed. I was so worried when I found seed froming.

Going to take a short break from growing. Let this sub tropic heat cool a bit.
Have already started setting up the flood and drain table. Need to build a chiller for it and study for hydro.

I have a new respect for growers running more than one 1000 watt light. What a labor of love.

I wouldent order from that website in the future, I'm pretty sure they just send you random seeds and say they are strains. none of my strains looked anything like they should have! seriously I'm pretty sure its just a massive scam.
