There are plenty of reasons to hate people over faith actually. Opposing ideas of what is wrong/right, an inherent aggressive attitude within the religion, or if the religion is just a brainwashing cult, although by definition all religions are cults.

Example of cult.....The Jonestown Massacre. Fucking Jim Jones.

So you should hate innocent people who committed suicide? Hating Jim Jones is understandable, but hating people following the faith is a ridiculous statement, they were innocent people who believed in a relatively good a idea which was skewed by one zealot.

No that is completely wrong, what you would want to say is that you hate an organized religion which portrays negative attitudes and brainwashes people. The connotation of brainwash suggests that the people have no choice and are victims in the scenario. Hating PEOPLE for their beliefs is intolerant.

When they try to push their beliefs off on me is when I start gettting pissed at them.

Actually if they are one of the leaders of that brainwashing cult, cough cough Scientology, I am completely able to hate them for brainwashing their own worshipers. Hating people for their beliefs is what the human race has been doing since the dawn of religion. Human beings by nature are aggressive destructive people, why else would we of created religion and politics?

I am fairly sure no one ever tried to convince you to move to an island...

And being pissed at Jehovahs for example for going to door to door is understandable because they are inconveniencing you, but that is something a lot different than hating them for being Jehovahs.

So its OK to be mad at someone for knocking on your door, but not OK to be mad at them because according to their beliefs they are going to hell?

He was the leader.

And it is understandable to disagree with a man who committed genocide of his own followers, because that is reasonable grounds to dislike someone.

Well most religions believe everyone not within their religion is not exactly going to heaven, since the purpose of most belief systems are to ensure a trip to Heaven, Brahman, Nirvana, Valhalla, etc... While not all of them particularly damn those not within their religion, they keep them out of the place to be desired.

So you are religious and their religion disagrees with yours? Then you are being intolerant and not accepting the fact that there are many people out there with many different beliefs. Because we have different opinions doesn't mean you should hate me? Why would you hate someone who is in conflict with your personal dogma?

But what if he bought into his own religious beliefs SO MUCH that he believed that it was best for them to die? Heck the current leader of Scientology most likely actually buys into all the bullsh*t.

This brings me to another point....Debaters suck lol I mean you pretty much didnt debate anything and made it seem like you did...All I said was I hate the people who damn me to hell when im not part of their religion. I didnt ask about any other religion lol.

Because they are telling me that I am going to be damned for all eternity is a pretty good reason to hate a religion. I mean anyone at all who isn't christian is, according to christian doctrine, going to hell.

That is the point I am making, almost anyone in any religion you are not part of is going to hell, not passing on to another plane of existence is the equivalent of damning someone to hell just not really damning in the exact tense. I was just stating that you hating people that damn you to hell, means you hate almost every religious person in the world.

Also there is a reason Debaters never debate religion, there are so many differing opinions that the extemporaneous knowledge that someone could have on a subject could be unfair to a nonreligious opponent.
