You're much better off looking at the trichrome development. But if the plants are at, or near, the end of their flowering cycle you should be ok to harvest.
Still, pics help more then words, yellow leaves are normal at the end of a flowering period. So, if they went yellow, then brown, yah you should be chopping soon. If they went green to brown you may have had either a deficiency or another problem.

Are you going for a seed run? If you are make sure the seeds are mature then harvest.

Im perdy sure they went from yellow to brown, I stopped givin them fert a few days ago, I figured it was at its end and the soil had plenty of fertilizer in it.
The seeds are almost popping out in some places, shoudl I harvest the tops where the most are popping out and then let the bottoms lives a little longer or all at once
also I seen a seed that looks a bit moldy, the strands comming from it didnt look like normal bud hairs. I think im going to harvest today and dry over a period of time. I feel if I wait longer I might lose the bud and seeds.

You can stagger your harvest if you want, but, if the whole plant is ready it's better to get all of it at once to stop the alkaloids from degrading. Nothing wrong with letting your plants ripen up, but, you can overdo it.
However if all of your fan leaves and such are turning brown it's a pretty good sign they're ready to go. If you're just harvesting for seeds there's no harm in letting some branches or sections go a bit longer to let the seeds mature.
