Do you even grow, bro?
    #849799 - 09/21/21 11:00 PM (2 years, 6 months ago)

What is up gowers!

I grew weed in the 90’s.

It’s on my criminal record as ‘cultivation of cannabis’ and here i am decades later looking to possible get back into it.

“Irony, it seems, is not without a sense of humour.”
~ Morgan Freeman, shawshank redemption.

I used to grow 3 outdoor plants a year as a teenager, then did a closet grow with a 600w son t agro then i did a 5 plant 1000w grow in parents house but got nailed by bugs and didnt really make much money so i gave all my equipment away a few years later, for free. It was going to be how i made my fortune but i got spooked and never grew again. That was late 90’s.

Since then i have just worked my whole life, couldnt smoke, didnt want to grow, had offers at partnerships but knocked them all back. I wonder if i had kept growing all those years ago where i would be now?

Shucks man who knows how far you couldve made it. Glad youre back!
I think that knowledge of just knowing how to make the vital phases happen is all you need
give us all another 2000 years even and cannabis will still just be a weed plant right

check out Barneys and Sensi fem seeds theyve got some new amazing beans and some classics you probably knew!

Nice, i remember the indoor clones i used were called white widow. There really wasnt many around back then that i knew of. It was fun, i had homebrew in the room burping out CO2 i thought i was so smart! Messing around with ph meters and food wands, i loved being in the room with the plants.

Yeah white widow is like... I don't know man it's like a meme strain now it got so big
Like I just started some WW myself, it's great stuff it has wonderful genes (especially by now yknow)
I've even had a couple WW from Are non sponsored breeder mentions allowed here? that were totally polyploid, ribbon stem fat hammerhead colas.

It's a great bet for a beginner or someone getting back into it. It's very resistant to a lot of stressors like heat and trimming and hell I'd even stretch to say it can probably handle N toxicity better than some other strains. I had it side to side with the classic DJ Short Blueberry strain plants and the blueberries were much less resistant to stress than the White Widows

I keep a shelf of mushroom shoeboxes across from my grow tents. I'm no professional but I think it's a nice little fresh air exchange.
Certainly smells fresh in there.

It sounds like the science behind growing has just gone boonta, like tech has exploded and the intricacies of growing a humble mj plant have had an injection of intellegence applied by becoming an its own industry. I cant see myself ever catching up on it all but im a simple person who likes to do simple things and watering a plant is pretty simple really.

I think it's safe to say that growing pot is almost just like tomatos in that sense
Simplicity goes a very long way.

Maaybe maybe maybe..
but there's absolutely no shame investing a little time and mental energy just to run a little something
inside while you wait!
Lots of good beginner indoor resources on this site

to save you some reading: just need seeds, paper towel, soil, solo cups, light source
and thatll cover you for the first 3 weeks for sure

Anything bigger than that youll be stuck with for weeks, maybe months! So start small seriously!
Even if its just one or two plants, that way youll always have something to learn with while you work your way up back to outdoors!
