Tie those sluts down if they're getting too hot headed. Don't be afraid to get rough with em, really spread them out good for maximum exposure.
If you have an IR thermometer, the canopy temp shouldn't exceed 80f. You should be able to keep the LEDs pretty close with no issues.

When you start bending and tying back branches you might snap one by mistake, don't panic just tie it up and the branch will recover with a knot where the branch snapped.

What are some suggestions on a affordable brand or set up that works well? 3 3 foot plants with 5-8 weeks to go

once they get 6-7 nodes high i usually just cut the trunk
i tried growing two at the same time once and it just made both of the yeilds smaller
I think you can get away with growing two right there but the light shouldn't be closer than 4"
and you can expect them to almos double in size once they get into flowering
