is it worth growing in a 10" deep pot and a little bit smaller other pot
or should I just use the five gallon pot and grow it like five nodes

A decent number is about one ounce per gallon of soil. They might be about the same volume of soil so its hard to say exactly. You should experiment and find out what you like. It might be easier getting 2 plants up to a small size than 1 plant up to big size.

Yeah I was thinking since the plant is shorter it wouldn't need as much light
There's no point in me growing a big plant in that space because then it would never canopy since the light always hits the top
Once it goes through flowering the plant is much smaller looking

Personal, i would search for a pot that is more cyclinderical (i.e. doesnt taper smaller at the bottom). That way u get the maximum root space.
Also, square pots are better (more root space) but are harder to find and more expensive pots.
