If you have the space and cash for the bigger one I don't see why you would even consider the smaller one, either way you will need very good air flow to keep that tent cool with a 1000W HID

The bottom of the 1000W light isn't going to be up at the top, mine is almost 8" deep, plus the hydro setup and the space needed between the light and plant to prevent burning. I still recommend the larger one.
