I took several clones and once cut under running water at a 45 degree angle the stem was rolled in rooting hormone powder. I didn't scarify the tissue hoping for a nice long taproot. I then placed the stems in hydrated peat pucks. I'm running a fish tank bubbler in a jiffy seed starter greenhouse with just enough tap water to make the stone bubble. I'm using a hundred watt equivalent cfl bulb in the daylight spectrum. This tek was passed on to me by a grower I trust. I wanted to share and I will keep everyone posted on my success

You took cuttings of leaves not the branch tips.
Even if those do root (and they won't) there is no growing tip for them to continue growing.
You also need as much air touching the stem as moisture.

Don't get me wrong bro I like to play also.
and a new growing shoot will form on a leaf cutting just that it takes so long you'd be better off starting a seed. Those peat pellets work but there like the ghetto cube of the grow industry. Rockwool or starter plugs will give you better success.
This attempt that you are doing is much better and has a better chance at starting. From what I can see it's much better attempt. I'm thinking a little to moist still but it has a chance.

Yes, I do, is it necessary not always, imo.
It's an old school text book type of thing.
It used to get mentioned in every cloning tek I read back when I started out.
Now it's just habit.
