I heard about this a few weeks ago. I think it's pretty cool. I'd probably see them if they came to my neck of the woods. And I think it's just Bobby and Billy joining him.

Sorta weird but i think i remember the bass player for hanson touring with zappa plays zappa so its not the first time i hear of totally different styles teaming up.

You should youtubeygoogle his blues trio. He's actually a very schooled and proficient musician. Most younger folks don't care about that sort of thing but if you play an instrument and don't respect what that guy can do on a guitar, you either are ignorant to what he does or a shitty musician in general. Regardless, he can play circles around the vast majority of guitarists out there. What's hard for me to get past is the goofy facial expressions and meticulously manicured ego. Also John Mayer has been professing his love for the dead openly a few years now, so I think it's safe to say he's eaten a dose. He's a professional musician touring with bobby.
I doubt Id travel to see it, but as a guitarist I will always step to the defense of a real musician. John Mayer is a real musician who openly claims to have written pop songs to get rich and laid. He's a great guitarist, billionaire, and he fucked Taylor swift. What else is there to strive for?
