When it comes to finding new music...
    #655838 -

Where do other Growery folk look?
I'm interested in indie pop/rock, and almost ANY genre of electronic music.
I usually hit stereogum.com, pitchfork.com, and hearya.com when I'm on the hunt for new artists.  I also check lineups for music festies like SXSW, Coachella, Ultra, etc.
Any other recommendations? I'm in a downloading kind of mood!

Check out Linear Downfall, they just made an album, they also worked on a cover of In the Court of the Crimson King album with the Flaming Lips, great bands man, that album is so great!

Soundcloud is awesome for finding new artists. For example, let's say you're a producer and you have a bunch of your songs on Soundcloud. I find you and add some of your songs to my favourites list and download others that you have for free. I also "follow you" to see when your new tunes are released. This also shows me when you "like" a new song and add it to your favourites. If I'm hoping to find similar artists then I can look through the list of people you follow and the cycle repeats itself. I've also messaged artists and they've helped me out or even given me free tunes when they were still unreleased.

You can use Youtube in a similar way.

Youtube was my only source for new music for a while. There's usually similar artists of the genre in the "related videos" option. Check out a band you like and other results should appear.

C418
Gold Panda
Mondkopf
Big Giant Circles
Lovage
The Avalanches
Tycho
XXYYXX

just some of the electronic stuff i listen to!!

As for indie the list could be massive. Best bet is to check out Arts & Crafts records website, or Sub Pop. Both great record companies

Other than what's been mentioned, I like looking at the labels of artists I really dig and seeing if there's anything else there that's up my alley.
