 What's a good casino to stay at in LV?

So I plan on going to Las Vegas in July to celebrate my 21st birthday and I am wondering what's a good hotel/casino to stay at?
I was thinking of Circus Circus since the rates are pretty cheap ATM. Someone told me that they haven't updated the rooms since the 70s which kinda sucks imo.

I have stayed at the Luxor and it was alright for what you paid. I have been looking on going back and honeslty the best prices can be found at travel agents like AAA and others. The casinos give a ton more comps to them places if you are not already a card member (which you aint due to age). Check them travel agents and see what they have to offer

luxors is a dive... ive been to vegas 3 times...
flamingo or monty carlo are my favs....

bellagio is decent.. but small , never been to encore
look into flamingos dude.. its MASSIVE and renovated... I had a blast there last fall... right in the middle of everything too
its prob one of the best on the strip... Caesars Palace is wicked too!

MGM was decent, Luxor is not a dive whatsoever.
I prefer to stay off strip, downtown area.

Flamingo, ballagio is decent but can be spendy, treasure island it's one thats fun but on the sleazy side but come on why are you going to vegas? Circus circus is undenyably dated but cheap. Luxor, wen, mgm, ect kinda over priced and under classes but just my native nevadan opinion here.
