Hydroponic vs soil best boy tomato's
    #622288 - 05/12/12 09:32 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

i picked these guys up from a green house in early april and grew them inside to the first week in may, then i moved them out side and built a 9' by 4' trellis with 6'' netting.

i am using the general hydroponic water farm buckets with the basic flora series nutrients

the others are planted in tall 5 gallon pots with happy frog soil, one is all ready fruiting

let me know what you think :hehehe:

Update: things seem to be doing fine.
All of tomato's are flowering.
Two of the tomato's in soil have fruit forming.
The hydroponic tomato's have been feed a nutrient solution that is heavier on nitrogen than the other base nutrients.
I have been thinking next week when i change the solution out i will add more potash and phosphorus.
If anyone has any tips on feeding i would love the feedback.

Update:
Grow has pretty much exploded
Started to give the hydro tomato's more potash and phosphorus less nitrogen.
Still no fruits forming on the hydro tomato's lots of flowers though.
