Right no water in dry ice.
It's just frozen CO2 gas.
You should be able to smoke or press right away.

I haven't forgotten this, and I'm still saving up my trim...once the indoor season is over and I move outdoors I'll do a large batch of this and let you guys know how it comes out.

Magic to answer your questions. Should you get some from a dispensery this would come in two forms. Straight up powder kief, and pressed chunks of hash. They are the same thing one has just been compressed into a small ball or puck. As to effect on the taste/appearance it should have little to none. All you are doing is super freezing the THC out of the plant (basically) than breaking it off over a flat surface.

I've been working with power tools since I was 8, my dad is an electrical engineer who owned a 280 gal fish tank, and I studied biology with a specialty in genetics. Getting dirty comes naturally. I think my parents inadvertently trained me to be a weed grower.
