I am new to growing and my budget is VERY limited. I really want to grow some white widow. I was in Amsterdam many years ago and I remember seeing white widow in almost every coffeeshop. I love that strain. It's got a great taste and an awesome kick. I just don't understand why people want to charge so much for a strain that has been mass produced for two decades. Anyway though, please let me know if you guys know about a discount seed bank.

The seeds themselves? Yeah. Shipped to you? Not that I've found. Shipping tends to be the most expensive part of seed buying ime. They should make it like $5, but with a.tude its like $15.

Try Mandala genetics. Great stuff, good prices, and landrace genetics mean you get some unique qualities.
Satori is a great strain...its not ultra powerful, but I love it for a go-to everyday type smoke. Good balance in the high and it is a great sex enhancer...or maybe that's just my dick that's a great sex enhancer...who knows?

ive been wondering about mandala for a while now. ive just been really hesitant to try considering i dont know anyone who has had any experience with them. and just from their descriptions alot of their genes sound really unstable.

I have a friend who grew a mandala strain...lemme see if I can remember which one...

That one. It was extremely leafy like that pic shows and not nearly as frosty. I remember it was a nice smooth smoke though and got me pretty lifted. Although I can't speak for the growing process (I didn't get to watch that one grow) I can say the result was a fair 7/10.

I've grown their Hashberry, very stable, very strong and heavy stone.
I beleive Midnight has grown it as well

Around 61 to 66 days flowering, at around 24 to 30 inch tall yielded about 26 to 30 grams per plant grown in a SOG not a SCROG.
Would have done much better in SCROG.

Thanks for the info guys. I may try Mandala next time. This time I went Castle Seeds. I got 10 white widow for $36.
Hey Stoneth, 26 to 30 grams per plant is not a good yield IMO. What kind of lighting did you use?

When you figure there were 15 of those in SOG, it's not a bad yeild.
You do know what SOG is right?

And that be about a POUND off of a 400 watt, so that is in DEED a GOOD yield enoch!

I feel I should mention the whole "pick and mix" option in this thread. Thats generally how I go. I like to have a big variety for the cheapest price possible. I suppose if I had a huge setup I'd want multiple plants of each strain, but the way I do it one is more than enough.

The pick n mix is a great feature for sure!  There are a few other sites that do that as well and I love to be able to pick out just one or two for a couple 10-20 bucks and test em out to see what the phenos are like

ive never done the pick and mix thing. ive always noticed enough variation within packs of 10-20 to not wanna risk the chance of not finding that really nice pheno that tends to pop up in those larger packs.
no matter which seed company i go with i usually find 2-3 distinct phenos within a pack of 10.

True, but like I said, I grow one plant at a time anyway and don't really save any clones from them. I smoke what I get either way So looking for something specific isn't really practical to me, as I don't really save anything
