China is too afraid to get involved with this conflict right now, and its suspected that they have provided arms for Gaddafi.
So we weren't in Iraq for oil either right?
Do you know anything? France gets most of their energy via nuclear energy.
And China is very much involved, they are sending their largest naval carrier into the Mediterranean for the first time ever. In fact, they have never even put a battle ship in the waters over there before. They have they most at stake in Libya of any of the participating nations.
Iraq has nothing to do with Libya.

Actually maybe if you read a little you would know that Europe actually gets 85% of Libyan Imports. Then the rest is split up among Asia, Australia and the US.
http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9LI25OO0.htm
France being one of the highest...
China only gets 3%. That is not a lot. My wife is native born Chinese dude. Trust me I know my shit on this.
Iraq has everything to do with Libya. We were there to take out terrorists and eventually a dictator and trying to "free the people," but we were also trying to take back oil wells and feed our oil hungry country.

I would like you to support your claims
Your saying that nuclear power is the main source of electric energy and your correct, I never disagreed with you on that. But the French still eat up a lot of oil dude. Look at the facts.
Take a look at their oil consumption
2011 they are consuming 1,875,000 barrels a day. That is a lot of fucking oil my friend.
http://www.indexmundi.com/france/oil_consumption.html
I don't know what the facepalm is for, I have given you the facts lol. Europe gets the majority of Libyas exports. France consumes a fuck load of oil and everyone else consumes even more. Its all a rat race to get it.

I never said Europe didnt. I just said oil wasnt the reason for US involvement and that France gets most of their energy from nuclear, more than any other country in the world per capita.
It's funny, even your link shows that Frances use of oil is in decline over the past 7 years, and they continue to import less and less.

Okay so oil is not the MAIN reason for involvement but well see how it unfolds. Maybe we did have a heart lacking capitalist gain. Doubt it though.
Did I ever say that their oil consumption is increasing? Its still a somewhat large amount of oil consumption (no where near the US) and it has to come from somewhere.
