All I've heard is that 110 Tomahawk missiles were fired over libya and apparently we did it or are involved.  Haven't heard many details or anything.  To be honest, I've only read like one article about it.  Once I heard we're getting into some more shit I just shook my head and went back to doing what I was doing.  Shit's gettin ridiculous that we just have to somehow get involved in shit all around the world.  I mean, I think Ghadafi needs to step down or be replaced or whatever, but why the fuck do we always gotta get involved in shit?  :nonono:

I agree. We really just pissed a lot of Libyans off acting like Cowboys blasting missiles.

Gaddafi is a fucking monster no doubt about that, and its horrible that he thinks he can bring genocide among his people like that.

But common, America? Another war? Lets not get involved with this shit. Let them Frenchies/English take care of it.

I agree we should have stayed out of it. It's a civil war but someone had to put an end to Ghadhafi. Unfortunately being a superpower with resources in the area, we kind of had to do something to help the people.

Most Lybians cheered when they got news of the bombings of military bases and artillery. (at least that's what western media outlets are saying, and I tend to believe them on this)

I watched some news last night. Forget what channel. Definitely not FOX.

Pretty much they showed a video of a whole bunch of wreckage and the targets. There were buildings that didn't even show rubble or fires, witch a whole bunch of angry screaming Libyans around.

I could be wrong, but I feel we just made a bad mistake getting involved in this.

Well the bombing of civilian outposts by Gaddafi had to be stopped, IMO.  I don't like that we had to get involved but it's for the overall benefit of the Libyan people.

Missiles are fucking expensive, and quite frankly that's just pocket change compared to the entire budget of the American Armed Forces

True but the British and the French were all ready bombing and attacking his forces before us.

Im sorry. Not trying to be a dick but we didn't need to get involved, but we did for "peaceful reasons." Sounds like we want something in return too like the French are expecting when the opposition overthrows with their help, in other words, dominance over their exports.

Which are? Can anybody guess? I know the answer to that one.

MAIN EXPORTS: Natural Gas and Petroleum Products, Oil.

Well, I now hear we are going to lead the assault!! Wtf, the news now adays is speculating I think! Even with the tsunami in Japan. One minute the power plant was a level 6 the next day it was just a level 4 disaster! The numbers are always fluctuating!

Getting into another war is rediculous imo
Help rebuild Japan and make the world a whole place again!

I couldn't agree more. That is where our true focus should be at.

Pretty much what someone being interviewed on NPR was saying that Gaddafi is not a target of American interests and they really don't care if he is dead or alive.

He does in fact have conventional and probably unconventional weapons at his disposal. For the longest time he has been trying to get his hands on a nuclear bomb. He has links to terrorism and encourages people to fight against imperialism.

Why the fuck would we bomb his infrastructure and then not even go after him. Also where was the talk with Congress? Obama went straight to the UN.

Also there were 64 civilian causalities in the bombings.

China already have a pretty strong grasp on Libya's oil supplies. We aren't there for oil. We get most of our oil from Canada and South America.

China doesn't have shit on Libyas oil supplies anymore. Its all going to the French once Gaddafi is completely out of power.

China is too afraid to get involved with this conflict right now, and its suspected that they have provided arms for Gaddafi.

So we weren't in Iraq for oil either right?

Obama effectively handed our congress' sovereign power over to the UN. Not that he is the first president to do it.

Even when the UN didn't agree with Bush, he still went ahead without congress. Complete over reach of presidential power.
