New light

Having a problem with my new light it's a 1000 watts n I unplugged pretty much everything n my surge protector keeps turning it off ne ideas how to make this not happen

there is to much power running through your Serge protector ,i had the same problem,you need to run things on multiple circuits or serge protetors

Yep. Also, I'd try a completely different outlet if possible to reduce stress on the wiring. Run an extension cord if you have to.

Well the only thing plugged in is my light I have a fan on them usually but it keeps going out n my whole bedroom is all on one breaker so I try running from another bedroom maybe?

ya, i had to get a new extension cord and timer the other week,kind of sucks putin out the cash but you have to make it work right!
blueberry~ you can flip your breaker switch's to see what outlets are connected to what circuits if you want to,then you no what outlets you can use~

I got a switch to switch from 240 to 120 volts but I don't think ivwanna turn it to 120 cuz it for a halogen light light not an hps

forget about the fancy talk and just try plugging your light into other outlets until it works ,use a extension cord if you need to !
circuits are like channels ,you kitchen may be on one circuit while your living room my be on another and to flick the breaker switch's [the main power box]is how you can see what runs on what circuit ,and if you overload a circuit with to much power it will trip the breaker off or in your case your serge protector
