Ok, The reason I said that was because , if he was really serious and he did take psychedelics how could the outcome be worse than suicide? If hes already contemplating it, It can only be better, if he dies, oh well.  He must have really wanted it

Though in general I do agree with you.  I think there are many instances where assisted suicide and euthanasia are the only humanitarian options.  Both for the individual, and the people that care for them
