Strange grey dots on plant.
    #438971 - 06/28/10 04:29 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

Irie all.

I'm growing three plants. One of them is covered with little grey/silver dots though and I'm wondering why. The other two are fine. The one who has the symptoms had a little trouble getting out of the seed, I hadto give it a hand and it's a bit smaller than the other two as well.

Otherwise, this one seems to be alright. Oh yeah, the three of them are still in the vegetative stage. They have been planted about a month ago.

So what do you guys think? Sorry I cannot provide a picture.

sounds like a type of mold, do these spots rub/blow off easily?

No man, they just don't come off at all. It almost looks like these dots are colorless spots. Maybe a lack of chlorophil? Could it be genetic?

Yep, it does look like I have mites. Another one of my plants is beginning to show the same spots and there are small black dots underneath the leaves.

Now to the obvious question: Any tips on getting rid of mites?

The clear stuff is webbings if it's tsm, and the black dots their shit, get on spraying those babies, and look into traps for the mites you get! You don't want any problems  in flowering!

http://www.amazon.com/Pyrethrum-Total-Release-Fogger-Ounces/dp/B001H3IK74

Here's a Pyrethrum fogger.  I have not used this exact product, so no comment on it.  A quick google research session and you should find a product that you would feel comfortable using.

Here's two other products which come recommended for dealing with mites.

Does anyone use Floromite here?

The reason i ask is that it seems to be commonly used by some marijuana growers, and was wondering if people ever noticed any changes to the taste or effects of the smoke.

I've used it for ornamental in the past, and it seemed like pretty harsh stuff and nothing I would want to risk smoking
